Deerfield Elementary PTA is happy to announce that we have partnered with Apex once again for our Jog-A-Thon fundraiser. The kick-off rally for all Deerfield students will be on Friday, February 10, and the actual Fun Run will be on Thursday, February 23. The amazingly fun and inspiring Apex team leaders (led by Jere Bear!) will be on campus through February 24, making daily classroom visits for leadership and fitness lessons and playing with the students at lunchtime.
We use a 52:48 (Deerfield Elementary PTA: Apex) profit sharing model, and had an amazing Fun Run last year with a net profit of over $20,000. We are counting on your participation once again in this year’s Fun Run. The money raised will fund important enhancing programs/activities such as school assemblies, technology improvements, classroom teacher support, etc. Please review the attached parent letter and pledge information. Students will also bring home the on-line pledge codes. Please spread the word to family members and friends anywhere in the world to help to sponsor your student for this event! We will accept on-line, check and cash payments.
Please sign up on your kids grade slot to help out on that day for Lap counting or Water passer. Thanks for your support & help. Parents are welcome to cheer up too!!!!!! Click here to sign up on the SignUpGenius website.
For more info, please email PTA Fun Run chair, Rosy Pradier, at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Deerfield Elementary is a special school because of the incredible support and involvement of our community and, in particular, our PTA. Simply put, we cannot run an extraordinary school without YOU!
This is the time of year when we begin to put plans into place to support our students and priorities for next year. Specifically, we are looking for parents who are willing to step up to serve on our PTA Executive Board.
Serving on the PTA is an important and wonderful way to provide service to our community that directly supports your children and improves our school. Our PTA Executive Board works closely with our staff to prioritize needs and support programs at Deerfield. Our current PTA Board has built positive momentum in propelling Deerfield to advance safety, technology and academic support to our students…let’s keep this going!
If making a difference for our kids is important to you, please consider stepping into an Executive Board position. Whether you stay at home full time, or work full time, we need your support and can find a place for you to serve!
If you would like to help by serving, or would like to recommend someone, please email us at email@example.com.

Deerfield’s extraordinary Green Team is moving forward in its efforts to promote environmental awareness through a new recycling program. Over the break, a Recycle Bin was installed in the front of our school next to our advertising banners. Community members are encouraged to drop off any unwanted shoes/clothing/textiles for recycling. The bin is available for drop-offs every day/all day…just place items in the bin and they are picked up at the end of the week! Deerfield will receive a percentage of money back to the school based upon the number of pounds collected. Please limit items to cloth textiles (no toys or other household items please).
