The 5th grade “Mother Daughter Tea” is coming on Tuesday, March 18th at 6:30 PM. Remember to save the date on your calendar now. This is a health education program sponsored by the PTA. Invitations will be sent out 2 weeks prior to the actual event. International Potluck Day
“Friendship around the World”,
Is coming to Deerfield Elementary on April 25th, 2014.
Come and join us for Our Friendship Around World Potluck family evening. This year this amazing event will bring tons of fun and educational activities for children and families, including the “Nation Parade” performed by Kindergarteners.

The results are finally in for the APEX FunRun!
The total amount of $$$ turned in: $32,690
Thank you to all the individuals that helped make this such a successful fundraiser! Every class participated by collecting donations ranging anywhere from $700 to $2,446. Approximately 65% of the students at Deerfield collected and turned in money for this event. A special shout out to the three classes that turned in over $2,000 each: Klosterman, Larson & Uribe

Week 1: Collected 30 new games and 1,029 used books for Foster Care Group Home
Week 2: Collect $$$ for refugee camp kids in Kenya to buy shoes and school supplies
Week 3: Collect toothbrushes, toothpaste, and used children’s clothes for orphans in Sri Lanka
Week 4: A school-wide Carnival to raise funds to help fight human trafficking

Our Spring Box Top Drive is here February 3rd through February 12th!
Just bring at least 10 trimmed and current Box Tops in a zip lock bag labeled with the student’s name and teacher. Unlabeled Box Tops will go into a general fund. Expired Box Tops will be discarded.
- Wendy’s coupon for every student that brings in at least 10 Box Tops
- Top K-3 and 4-6th students will receive an Irvine Lanes bowling pass
- Top class will receive a popcorn and popsicle party
- Top student for the whole school will receive a gift basket
